Paso Robles is often referred to as the Wild West of California's wine regions, and Zinfandel was the first variety to be planted in this rough-and-tumble territory. This is a ripe, medium-bodied example, with flavors of brambleberry, blackberry and a hint of spice on the palate. Sipping this red on its own is pure delight, but it would also pair beautifully with sausages or chicken right off the grill.
