  Deep ruby in the glass, with purple tones near the rim and a near-black center. Luxurious, dense aromas of toasted red strawberries, chocolate lava cake, fresh and stewed raspberries, rich earth, just-shaved orange rind, violet flowers, and candied cherries—aromatically, it has the layers and complexity often associated with Bordeaux. On the palate, juicy acidity is seamlessly integrated with smooth, ripe, even tannin structure and a mouth-coating full body. Effusive flavors of toasted espresso bean, grapefruit peel, red currants, and vanilla bean. This is a bottle to open now or allow to develop for years to come. Drink now–2040.

  Fermented in concrete vats, matured for 16 months in French oak (30% new). Savoury, textured and very long, this is not the succulent red-fruited explosion of Margaret River cabernets (neither a good nor bad thing, just an observation). It has the layered complexity we often find in Bordeaux, with a plumply satisfying core of cassis and redcurrant. Not overt, but restrained, with willowy tannins. Cellar or drink – both will bring immense pleasure.

  The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Hazel's Vineyard, a single vineyard, biodynamically farmed Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully poised and crystal clear expression of Margaret River. There is outstanding purity of fruit and power - blackcurrant, blackberry, dried herbs and gravel aromas all beautifully wrapped up with exceptional oak. There is also serious concentration with waves of flavour wound up tight. The balance is immaculate with manicured tannins and bright acidity also driving a finish of astounding length. So impressive and ready to unfold over at least the next decade.
